Diane Forsyth

Candidate for Division 7 Diane Forsyth Woodwood St, Edge Hill Ph: 0400 880130 Background: Diane Forsyth is the Director of the Addiction Help Agency in Westcourt and for the past eleven years has been responsible for delivering high quality programs for people with drug problems.  Prior to this, Diane was employed by a youth agency, ran her own business (a restaurant), worked in the public service (Education) and private industry.  Diane is also an active volunteer for many worthy causes and organisations.  She has two grown up daughters, one living with her.

Diane has been involved with a large number of community organizations holding many executive positions.

- Past President of the Cairns Women's Information and Referral Service
- Representative, FNQ Ministerial Regional Community Forum
- Represented the Human Services Sector on the FNQ2010 Regional Planning Advisory Committee

Why stand for Division 7?

Diane is passionate about the Cairns region with its tropical beauty and uniqueness and will work tirelessly to maintain that uniqueness whilst planning for sustainable growth.  Maintaining our treasured buildings and tropical lifestyle is very important to Diane.
